Pirate Birthday Show : Of one hour duration this party
is best suited fer four to eight year olds and requires a clear space of
six metres by five metres fer groups of 15 - 30 children
(larger groups require more space).
The program commences with a couple of easy to follow singalong pirate action songs.
Pirate Pete leads from the front, sitting on his treasure chests.
The first series of games revolve around a ship's sail.
The young pirates hold the sail's edge and follow the captains orders.
The sail rises and falls with the wind, encounters storms and turns into
an ocean full of dolphins and sharks.
It becomes a treasure cave fer crawling through and a hammock fer swinging on.
The sail games is followed by the Treasure Islands game.
An anchor rope from Pirate Pete's treasure chest encircles the islands.
The Treasure Islands Game is similiar in concept to musical chairs
but played as pirates do. Prizes fer the winners.
Next comes pass the parcel.
There are nine prizes in the two parcels, with consolation headbands so nobody loses.
Prizes include: Pirate eye patches, pirate story and music
CD's, pirate booty bags, headbands and pirate card games.
All children receive a pirate flag on stick and pirate headband.
The Pirate stays fer an hour.
It seems most parties run fer two hours so we recommends he arrive half an hour
after the start of the party, giving guests time to arrive and leaving time fer birthday
cake and eating activities after the Pirate entertainment.
The birthday person receives a birthday gift
(a booty bag, pirate flag, headband, Pirate Pete CDs, pirate eyepatch).
