Pirate Pete
Pirate Pete is based eastern states of Australia
He first appeared in September, 1989 at the opening of
Underwater World on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
Since then he has performed in various formats and venues ranging
from shows at Schools and Kindergartens entertaining large groups of children
with Pirate Games and music -- to roving minstrel and public relations character
in Shopping Centres or Flea and Craft Markets
In earlier days you could find Pirate Pete with his feathered mate Charlie the Cockatoo busking on street corners
and shopping malls (noteably the Queen St Mall in Brisbane, Circular Quay
in Sydney and the Central Mall in Coffs Harbour - half way) or anywhere
there was people passing.
Most recently Pirate Pete has been touring eastern Australia
entertaining at Shows, Festivals, Preschools,
Kindy's and infant schools from Cairns in the north to Swan Hill in the south.
The Pirate has sailed several tours of duty at
the National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour in Sydney.
Pirate Pete appeared regularly at
the North Pine Country Market on the northern outskirts of Brisbane
for more than seven years during the 1990s.

Pirate Parties at holiday resorts such as
the Hyatt Regency, Coolum is another sphere of activity
where the Pirate has been active combining music and Pirate Games.
Pirate Pete has provided the entertainment at more than 450 private birthday parties.
In June, 2000 Pirate Pete travelled to Singapore to complete
a successful 14 performance engagement at the White Sands Shopping Mall

He has performed at Community Festivals and Country Agriculrural Shows
and compered the Childrens Folk Festival at Maleny Folk Festival (now known as Woodford Festival).
